A partir del 1 de enero de 2019 California, es el primer estado de USA que solo permitirá la venta de mascotas procedentes de protectoras.
Según la nota publicada por www.elconfidencial.com esta nueva ley pretende acabar con las conocidas "Fabricas de Cachorros" un negocio que se ha caracterizado por el maltrato animal y que muchas personas detestamos.
" El gobernador de California, Jerry Brown, promulgó la norma en octubre de 2017, pero concedió más de un año de margen para que las tiendas de mascotas se pudieran adoptar a la nueva legislación. "

Inglaterra también se ha pronunciado ante la venta de mascotas, dejando prohíbida su venta a partir del 1 de enero.
