Las bellas fotografías de perros ancianos fueron captadas por Pete Thorne con la finalidad de poder mostrar la belleza que se encuentra en ellos.
Sus miradas, cálidas, llenas de amor y experiencia, su pelo con canas resultan muy adorables. Para esta sesión le pidió a sus dueños que asistieran con sus perros y les llevaran algún tipo de juguete para lograr su atención.

Muchas de las historias que hay detrás de cada uno de los perros ancianos son de abandono, maltrato pero en la actualidad tienen una segunda oportunidad con sus nuevas familias que quisieron dejar plasmado su amor en estas bellas fotografías.
El interés del fotógrafo nació a partir de ver como muchos de los perros que él había fotografiado habían fallecido y sus dueños le pedían aquellos retratos que tenían un valor sentimental para ellos.

Ahí descubrió de la importancia que tienen los perros en las familias, suelen ser parte de ellas y nació la iniciativa de hacer retratos exclusivamente para perros ancianos demostrando la belleza que hay en esta etapa y el amor que les debemos a nuestros peludos en sus años de vejez.
